Setur Kaş Marina

Introduction

Setur Kaş Marina is a modern deep-water harbour on the Lycian coast, ten minutes from the town of Kaş — ancient Antiphellos — and a short hop from the Greek island of Meis (Kastellorizo).

What Makes It Unique

It is the gateway to one of the richest stretches of the Lycian coast — Kekova's sunken city, Patara, and ancient Antiphellos — and to a quick international crossing to Meis, only a few miles offshore.

The Story Behind

Kaş was the Lycian Habesos, renamed Antiphellos under Hellenistic and Roman rule; the town still holds a 4th-century-BC monument tomb and a 4,000-seat theatre among the olive groves. The marina opened in 2011 to ease the crowded public harbour.

Local Life

Kaş is a laid-back diving and sailing town of bougainvillea lanes and seafront cafés; the marina serves the coast between Fethiye and Kemer.

Best Time to Visit

The Lycian coast is at its best late spring to early autumn; summer afternoons bring fresh wind, and the deep water holds well. July–August are busiest.
